Bladnoch 17 Year Old (46.7% ABV) Which was made using water from the River Bladnoch and locally grown barley, was initially matured in ex bourbon barrels, before being finished in ex Californian red wine casks for at least two years.

This latest release from the Lowlands based distillery, is said to deliver notes of dried fruit, coffee, cherries, toffee, vanilla and sweet oak on the nose. Followed by notes of spicy oak, prunes, orange marmalade, cherries, liquorice and cinnamon on the palate.
The Bladnoch Distillery, which was purchased in 2015 by Australian entrepreneur, David Prior, has also announced that it will be opening the doors of its new state-of-the-art visitors centre in June.
Commenting on the new whisky, David Prior, said: “This is my favourite Bladnoch yet. This one is an absolute stunner!”
Bladnoch 17 Year Old, will start rolling out across Europe this month, before launching in Australia, Asia and the US, later this year. RRP (tbc).
