This latest Prometheus release from an undisclosed distillery, is said to deliver notes of citrus, red apple, pear, biscuit caramel and warming spice. Followed by notes of sweet malt, raisins, walnuts, savoury oak and dark fruit, smoke and orange spice on the palate.

Prometheus 28 Year Old, follows on from the success of Prometheus 27 Year Old, which launched last year and Prometheus 26 Year Old, which launched in 2016.

Commenting on the launch, Liam Hughes, CEO and Co-Founder of Glasgow Distillery said: “Prometheus is a very special whisky and one we’re proud to be able to bring to consumers. Prometheus 28 is one of the finest expressions in the range yet and is not to be missed. Only a limited number of barrels are available of this very special spirit, and once it’s gone, it’s gone. The smoky notes deliver a unique flavour experience and is the perfect dram to be savoured.”

Limited to just 888 bottles, Prometheus 28 Year Old, will be available later this month from the distillery and specialist retailers, for a RRP of £699.
