BULLEIT BOURBON TO LAUNCH ITS 10 YEAR OLD VARIANT IN THE UK

Diageo has announced, that it will be extending its range of Bulleit bourbons in the UK, with the launch of its 10 Year Old variant.

Bulleit Bourbon 10 Year Old (45.6% ABV) is a high rye content bourbon, which has been aged in charred American oak barrels for a minimum of ten years.

This latest release from the Kentucky based Bulleit Distillery Company, was launched in the US in 2013, and has now been released on this side of the Atlantic, to capitalise on the rising popularity of bourbon amongst UK consumers.

Bulleit Bourbon 10 Year Old, is said to deliver notes of rich toasted oak, hints of vanilla and dried fruits on the nose, followed by dry spices and smooth caramel notes on the palate.

Commenting on the UK launch, Nick Temperley, Head of Diageo Reserve GB, said: “Bourbon is a category loved by UK consumers and Bulleit is making gains in both the on and off-trade and outperforming the category - up 54% in volume.  We are confident that Bulleit 10-Year-Old will add to the popularity of the Bourbon category, providing a fantastic base for a number of seasonal serves such as the Smoked Maple Old Fashioned.”

Bulleit Bourbon 10 Year Old, will be available next month from specialist retailers in the UK. RRP (tbc).
