The multi-award winning single malt Irish whiskey, will now be included in Lufthansa’s First Class Lounges throughout Germany, which have around 500,000 passengers and guests each year.

The Irishman 12 Year Old single malt whiskey, which was awarded the Gold and ‘Best In Class’ awards at the 2013 International Spirits Challenge, is distilled from 100% malted barley and aged in first-fill bourbon barrels.
Commenting on the news, Bernard Walsh, Managing Director of Walsh Whiskey Distillery, said: “The selection of The Irishman – 12 Year Old Single Malt by Lufthansa for its First Class Lounges is reflective of the high standards of our respective businesses. We are delighted that all Lufthansa First Class Lounge passengers now have the opportunity to savour this exceptional expression as they relax on their journey”.
Last autumn, Walsh Whiskey Distillery announced the launch of a new ‘The Irishman’ 17 Year Old, single cask bottling, in celebration of the company's 17th anniversary.
