LIDL LAUNCHES A TRIO OF NEW SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKIES

Discount supermarket chain Lidl, has announced the launch of three new expressions, as part of its award-winning Ben Bracken range of single malt Scotch whiskies.

The trio of new no age-statement Ben Bracken variants, from three of the most renowned Scotch whisky regions; Speyside, Highlands and Islay, have all been bottled at 40% ABV.

Now with 8 Scotch whiskies in its range, Lidl has established a strong reputation for its whisky and other spirit bottlings, winning a number of awards, including ‘Best Islay Single Malt’ at the 2016 World Whiskies Awards.

Commenting on the news, Paul McQuade, Head of Lidl’s Scottish Buying Team, said: “We’re incredibly proud of our whisky range and with World Whisky Day approaching this is the perfect time to release our new range of Ben Bracken single malt Scotches. The range reflects the diverse taste of Scotch whisky through the three different whisky regions and offers everyone, from established whisky fans to the newcomer to whisky.“

The three new Ben Bracken; Speyside, Islay and Highland bottlings, are now available from Lidl stores across the UK, for £17.49 each.
