ISRAELI DISTILLERY ANNOUNCES THE LAUNCH OF THE COUNTRY'S FIRST SINGLE MALT WHISKY

The Milk & Honey Distillery in Israel, has announced the launch of the country’s first single malt whisky.

Milk & Honey – Israel’s First Single Malt Whisky (46% ABV) has been matured for 31 months in a virgin American oak cask, before being aged for a further seven months in an ex-bourbon cask, at the distillery's cask room in Tel Aviv.

Milk & Honey - Israel's First Single Malt

The distillation of what is Israel’s first ever single malt whisky, began at the distillery's early stages - even before it was established at its current location in south Tel Aviv, before the current industrial equipment was purchased and before the successful crowd funding campaign on Indiegogo.

The barrel was distilled in January 2014, in a warehouse in the Northern Sharon region by Head Distiller Tomer Goren, together with internationally renowned Master Distiller, the late Dr. Jim Swan, as part of his role as consultant to the distillery at the time.

Limited to just 391 bottles, Milk & Honey – Israel’s First Single Malt Whisky, will be available next month from specialist retailers in Israel. RRP (tbc).
