DIAGEO ANNOUNCES DETAILS OF THIS YEAR'S LAGAVULIN AND CAOL ILA FEIS ILE LIMITED EDITIONS

Diageo has announced the launch of two limited edition Lagavulin and Caol Ila expressions, bottled for this year’s Feis Ile.

Lagavulin Feis Ile 2017 – 16 Year Old (55.8% ABV) has been double matured in Moscatel casks and is limited to just 6,000 bottles. Caol Ila Feis Ile 2017 – NAS (56.1% ABV) has been double matured in Amoroso casks and is limited to just 1,500 bottles.

Both releases are said to demonstrate Scotch’s versatility, with a twist on existing popular distillery bottlings. Often selling out within hours of going on sale, this year’s Feis Ile limited editions, will only be available to visiting each respective distillery.

Commenting on the Lagavulin release, Georgie Crawford, Lagavulin Distillery Manager, said: “As the Lagavulin Distillery enters its 3rd Century, we look to the future with interesting and unique liquids for our most loyal fans. We’re looking forward to raising a dram of these excellent bottlings together with our friends at Feis as another great way to celebrate Scotch, the world’s favourite whisky.”

Available at each distillery’s respective open day, during the festival which kicks off today, the Lagavulin Feis Ile bottling will retail for £125.00 and the Caol Ila Feis Ile bottling for £99.00.
