BENRIACH LAUNCHES ITS FIRST CASK STRENGTH BATCH BOTTLING

The multi-award winning, Elgin based BenRiach Distillery Company has today announced the launch of the first bottling in its new Cask Strength Batch series.

BenRiach Cask Strength Batch 1 (57.2% ABV) follows on from their critically acclaimed GlenDronach Cask Strength batches, which have been eagerly snapped up by whisky enthusiasts worldwide.
BenRiach Cask Strength - Batch 1

The whisky chosen for their first Cask Strength Batch, is said to be classic BenRiach in style, delivering notes of sweet toasted oak, roasted orchard fruits, vanilla pods and desiccated coconut on the nose, followed by notes of creamy heather honey, apples, pears, apricots, candied peel and fresh ginger on the palate.

Commenting on the launch, Alistair Walker, Sales Director at the BenRiach Distillery Compamy, said: “Cask Strength Batch 1 is another momentous and exciting "first" for the BenRiach distillery. This stunning Speyside whisky, with all its classic BenRiach characteristics, is the first Cask Strength expression to be added to our core range, allowing us to showcase the true BenRiach style in its most natural state - straight from the cask to the bottle, non-chill filtered and at its natural colour, allowing the distillery's unique spirit to shine through. It is an incredibly fine dram and I am confident it will prove as successful as our wonderful GlenDronach batches.”

BenRiach Cask Strength Batch 1, will be available from specialist retailers later this month for a RRP of £55.99.
