SAZERAC CO ANNOUNCES THE LAUNCH OF A NEW SINGLE BARREL 1792 BOURBON EXPRESSION

Sazerac, the American drinks producer and owner of brands including Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, George T Stagg and Old Rip Van Winkle, has announced the launch of a new Single Barrel Bourbon expression in its 1792 range.

1792 Single Barrel Bourbon (49.3% ABV) has been produced using bourbon that was distilled and aged at the historic Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown Kentucky. After a rigorous tasting and selection process, bottling took place on a small hand bottling line that only allows for one barrel to be processed at a time.

1792 Single Barrel Bourbon, follows on from the brands previous special releases; Port Finish and Sweet Wheat bourbon, which launched in June 2015. The distillery plans to release even more new and different 1792 expressions throughout the year.

Commenting on the flavour profile of new release, Ken Pierce, Master Distiller, said: “1792 Single Barrel Bourbon has flavours of butterscotch and caramel notes, delicately balanced with hints of fruit and toffee. The body is rich and lingers on the tongue for a delicate and pleasant finish.”

1792 Single Barrel Bourbon, will be available across the US later this month for a RRP of $39.99.
