Until recently, only a very small proportion of the whisky produced at Scotland’s oldest distillery was bottled and sold as single malt, as the majority was destined for blending in The Famous Grouse.

The Edrington owned brand announced the launch of a new core range of single malts back in November 2015, which Douglas Laing & Co will now be responsible for distributing across Europe.
Commenting on the news, Chris Leggat Douglas Laing’s Commercial Director, said: “We are delighted to get our creative hands onto The Glenturret brand. Scotland’s oldest distillery produces a wonderful malt whisky and we will give this brand the attention it so rightly deserves. We’re thrilled to bring the brand into the arms of Douglas Laing and to our extensive network of friends across Europe.”
The Glenturret core range comprises of The Glenturrent Sherry Edition, The Glenturret Triple Wood Edition and The Glenturret Peated Edition. All three of which are said to draw on the very best of the distilleries traditional production methods which date back way back to 1775.
Established in 1948, Douglas Laing & Co is an independent Scotch whisky specialist, with a portfolio of brands including: Provenance, Old Particular, XOP Single Casks, and the Remarkable Regional Malts; an umbrella brand that encompasses Timorous Beastie, Scallywag and Rock Oyster.
