This latest launch follows on from the release of the distilleries inaugural batch of single malt whiskies in August, which were distilled on the mainland and bottled at their distillery in Shetland.

Commenting on the launch, Stuart Nickerson, Director of The Shetland Distillery Company, said: “This blended malt whisky follows on from the success of our Shetland Reel Single Malt Scotch Whisky, all 172 bottles of which sold out prior pre-launch. Our ‘Bottled in Shetland’ Scotch whiskies are precursors to us installing our own whisky still and distilling Unst whisky.

Shetland Reel Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, is limited to 1,800 bottles and will retail for a RRP of £45.00.
