LES WHISKIES DU MONDE ANNOUNCES THE EUROPEAN LAUNCH OF NEW JAPANESE WHISKY

Les Whiskies du Monde has announced the European launch of a new Japanese whisky expression from a newcomer in the category.

Fujikai 10 Year Old (43% ABV) has been matured in ex bourbon barrels at the Monde Shuzo Distillery, situated at the foot of the world famous Mount Fuji.

Monde Shuzo Distillery which was founded in 1952, is also an established wine producer, capable of producing over 20,000 bottles of wine per day. Its Fujikai brand pays tribute to its home-country with references to Mount Fuji and the former prefecture of Yamanashi, once named Kai

Fujikai 10 Year Old, is said to be deep and creamy on the nose with notes of plums, apples and iodine. Followed by notes of warm spices, walnut and vanilla on the palate.

Founded in 1999, Les Whiskies du Monde is one of the major importers and marketers of spirits across Europe.

Limited to 8808 50cl bottles, Fujikai 10 Year Old will be available across Europe later this month from specialist retailers for between £40 - £50.
