FOUR ROSES LAUNCHES 2015 LIMITED EDITION SMALL BATCH BOURBON IN TRIBUTE TO MASTER DISTILLER

Four Roses has today announced the launch of its 2015 Limited Edition Small Batch Bourbon, which will be a tribute to their soon to be retired Master Distiller Jim Rutledge.

The Four Roses 2015 Limited Edition Small Batch Bourbon (54.3% ABV) is made up of whiskies from the Kentucky distillery that have been aged for 11, 14, 15 and 16 years.

This years Limited Edition, is a tribute to Jim Rutledge, who after 20 years as Master Distiller, will be retiring on September 1st. Current Quality Director Brent Elliott, will take over from Jim when he steps down next month.

The Four Roses 2015 Limited Edition Small Batch Bourbon, is said to deliver notes of ripe cherry, caramel, custard and fresh magnolia on the nose, followed by notes of cinnamon, clove, orange peel, apricots and honey on the palate.

Commenting on the news, Brent Elliott, said: “This bourbon is a great tribute to Jim Rutledge, whom I’ve had the privilege to work with closely over the past decade. His knowledge and passion, along with the strong team at our distillery, are responsible for the high-quality Bourbon we produce every day. I couldn’t think of a better way to toast Jim’s exceptional career.”

Limited to around 12,600 hand numbered bottles, Four Roses 2015 Small Batch Bourbon, will be available from specialist retailers across the US during September.
