GLENFIDDICH APPOINTS NEW UK BRAND AMBASSADOR

Glenfiddich has this week officially announced the appointment of its new UK Brand Ambassador, Mark Thomson.

Mark will be the face of the brand in the UK with immediate effect. Whilst his role will see him host consumer and trade events across the country, the majority of Mark’s time will be spent working with the on-trade in London.

Originally from Dundee and now living in London, Mark has worked in the drinks industry for 14 years.  His past experience includes organising educational training programmes for on and off-trade outlets and hosting masterclasses and tasting events for a number of major whisky brands.

Mark has previously worked with Glenfiddich on projects like its Malt Mastermind bartender competition - where he was a judge in 2013 and 2014.

Commenting on his new appointment, Mark said: “I am thrilled to be the latest addition to the Glenfiddich team.  I have always loved the brand since my grandfather introduced me to it many years ago and it’s an honour to be joining the team. There are exciting things going on in the whisky category at the moment, so it’s a great time to join Glenfiddich and help further cement its status in the UK.  We have some very interesting new projects in the pipeline and I’m really looking forward to bringing these to life over the coming months.”
