DIAGEO ROLL OUT NEW PIEHOLE WHISKEY LIQUEUR RANGE

Diageo has launched a new fresh out of the oven, feel good range of flavoured Canadian whiskey liqueurs called Piehole.

Inspired in look and flavour from a long gone era of Americana, and the pies that “Grandma” used to bake, the first trio of Apple, Cherry and Pecan Pie whisky liqueurs, all contain whiskies that have been aged for between four to eight years.

Piehole - Apple Pie, Cherry Pie and Pecan Pie Whiskey Liqueurs

Piehole Apple Pie has the sweetness of apple pie filling and baked crust with a hint of cinnamon and clove spice.

Piehole Pecan Pie has the distinctive taste of toasted nutty pecans with background notes of bourbon vanilla extract, dark brown sugar, and baked pie crust.

Piehole Cherry Pie balances sweet baked cherries with notes of buttery pastry and baked pie crust.

Commenting on the new releases, Kristin Markovich, Senior Innovation Manager for Whiskey at Diageo, said: “Many people remember that feeling you get when you first taste Grandma’s pies fresh from the oven. Piehole is our way of bringing that delicious memory to consumers for any fun occasion and we hope people everywhere will open their pie holes to try these three mouth-watering flavours.”

Bottled at 35% ABV the new Piehole range is now rolling out across the US, with each bottle carrying a RRP of $14.99.
