MICHTER'S LAUNCHES ITS LATEST SINGLE BARREL RYE BOTTLING

Michter's Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky, has announced the launch of the 2020 release of its 10 Year Old Single Barrel Rye.

Michter’s 10 Year Old Single Barrel Rye – 2020 Edition (46.4% ABV) which will be the only release of the rye this year, is said to not only have great spice notes, but also the richness and balance that comes from having a fair amount of corn and malted barley in the mashbill.

While Michter's Fort Nelson Distillery has been shut since mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, their Shively Distillery has continued to distil and bottle.

Commenting on the launch, Andrea Wilson, Michter's Master of Maturation, said: "There is nothing quite like really good rye distillate that's been aged with thoughtful care for over a decade in a barrel that was toasted and then charred and in a warehouse that has been heat cycled to produce a deep, rich flavour profile perfect for sipping.

In April, Michter's announced the launch of their annual 10 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon bottling.

Michter’s 10 Year Old Single Barrel Rye – 2020 Edition, will be available later this month in limited quantities across the US, for a RRP of $160.00 – 750ml.
