This latest release from the Highlands based distillery, which was produced using casks hand selected by Master Blender Rachel Barrie, is said to deliver notes of Highland toffee, treacle meld, dark honey and coal smoked barley on the nose. Followed by notes of burnt orange, treacle, cloves and smoked bramble on the palate.

Commenting on the launch, Rachel Barrie said: “The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated offers connoisseurs a rare opportunity to explore the distillery’s rich depths of sherry cask maturation, whilst paying homage to the robust peat-smoked earthy character of the early 19th century, that James Allardice himself would likely have enjoyed.”

The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated, will be available later this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of £51.00.
