BENROMACH LAUNCHES ONE OF ITS OLDEST SINGLE CASK WHISKIES

The Benromach Distillery, has today announced the launch of one of its oldest and rarest single cask, single malt Scotch whiskies.

Benromach 50 Year Old (44.6% ABV) which is limited to just 125 bottles, was laid down to mature in a an ex-Sherry Hogshead in 1969.

This latest release from the Forres, Speyside based distillery, is said to be beautifully balanced, delivering notes of sweet sherry, ripe fruits, light smoke and a mellow mature oak finish.

Commenting on the news, Keith Cruickshank, Benromach Distillery Manager, said: “Benromach  50 Years Old is the oldest expression in our current range and was carefully crafted by my predecessors using many of the timeless methods that we still use at Benromach Distillery to this day, with an unwavering focus on sourcing the finest Scottish barley,  drawing the purest local spring water and relying on the expertise and senses of our distillers to create a spirit that’s truly handcrafted.” 

Benromach 50 Year Old, will be available from selected specialist retailers from September 30th, for a RRP of £8.000.00.
