ATOM BRANDS LAUNCHES THE FIRST EXPRESSION FROM NEW ISLAY THEMED WHISKY BRAND

Atom Brands, has announced the launch of the first expression from its new ‘The Character of Islay Whisky Company’.

Aerolite Lyndsay 10 Year Old (46% ABV) is a peated single malt from an undisclosed distillery, comprised of whiskies matured in 70% ex-bourbon barrels, 25% Spanish oak sherry quarter casks and 5% from specially-selected ‘character’ casks.

Aerolite Lyndsay 10 Year Old

The Character of Islay Whisky Company, is said to pay homage to the legacy of Islay with a tongue in cheek take on the mythical legends and poetic licence rife in Islay whisky marketing, and instead shifts focus firmly to the whisky itself.

The Aerolite Lyndsay name, doesn’t have any mythical, historical or geographical connections, as it’s simply an anagram of the words ‘ten year old Islay’.

This latest release from the company behind multi-award winning brands, including That Boutique-y Whisky Company, is said to deliver notes of maritime peat, iodine, honey, paprika, salted caramel and old bookshelves on the nose. Followed by notes of smoke, mint dark chocolate, espresso, leather, honey and soy sauce on the palate.

Aerolite Lyndsay 10 Year Old, will officially be launched at Whisky Live Paris next month, but it is now available from Master of Malt, for a RRP of £44.95.
