JACK DANIEL'S LAUNCHES ITS LATEST TENNESSEE TASTERS SELECTION BOTTLINGS

Brown-Forman, has announced the launch of the latest two expressions, from its Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Tasters Selection series.

Jack Daniel’s Barrel Proof Rye (63.8% ABV) has been produced using a mash bill containing 70% rye. Jack Daniel’s Reunion Barrel #2 (ABV tbc) has been finished in oatmeal stout beer barrels.

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Tasters Selection, is a series of experimental whiskeys, each carefully chosen by Jack Daniel’s Master Tasters, and are said to deliver unique and diverse experiences.

These latest Jack Daniel’s bottlings, which follow on from the first two Tennessee Tasters Selection series bottlings; High Angel’s Share Barrels and Smoked Hickory Finish, released in October 2018, will be limited to around 24,000 bottles each.

Commenting on the news, Jeff Arnett, Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller, said: “Our Master Tasters continue to amaze us throughout this series, and both Barrel Proof Rye and Reunion Barrel #2 are outstanding examples of that. We’re thrilled to release the first rye whiskey in this series through Barrel Proof Rye, which is sure to be a fan favourite for anyone who enjoys our Tennessee Rye. And we can’t wait for the fall release of Reunion Barrel #2, as the beer barrel finish is a new experiment that we can’t wait to share as a limited release.”

Both the Jack Daniel’s Barrel Proof Rye (available this month) and Jack Daniel’s Reunion Barrel #2 (available from the autumn) will be available directly from the distillery and selected retailers in Tennessee, for a RRP of $39.99 each – 375ml.
