BEAM SUNTORY ANNOUNCES THE LAUNCH OF NEW COLLABORATIVE BOURBON EXPRESSION

Beam Suntory, has announced the launch of a new bourbon expression, which is said to bring together Kentucky distilling tradition with Japanese blending excellence.

Legent (47% ABV) has been produced using Kentucky straight bourbon, which has been aged in wine and sherry casks, before being blended with more Kentucky straight bourbon.

Legent

Legent (pronounced ‘lee-jent’) celebrates mastery and collaboration. The bourbon was distilled by Fred Noe, seventh-generation Master Distiller of Jim Beam, and blended by Shinji Fukuyo, fifth-ever Chief Blender of Suntory, the founding house of Japanese whisky.

Commenting on the launch, Fred Noe, said: “Legent is really something special. As a bourbon distiller, I enjoy breaking rules and creating new traditions. It was a real honour collaborating with Shinji on what I think is different from anything out there in the bourbon world.”

Legent, will be available across the US later this month, from specialist retailers, for a RRP of $34.99 – 750ml.
