The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old (57.1% ABV) which was matured in American oak, Pedro Ximinez, Oloroso and virgin oak casks, is said to reflect Managing Director and Master Distiller Billy Walker’s desire to showcase a taste of the distillery bottled straight from the cask at natural strength, delivering notes of honey, vanilla, toffee, marmalade, rose hip and Caribbean spices.

The GlenAllachie 12 Year Old (46% ABV) which was matured in Pedro Ximinez, Oloroso and virgin oak casks, has been described by Billy Walker as being “the heart of the range”, delivering notes of butterscotch, honey, marzipan and bananas.

The Glenallachie 18 Year Old (46% ABV) which was matured in Pedro Ximinez, Oloroso and American oak casks, is said to exemplify the signature style of GlenAllachie, delivering a combination of rich and robust spirit with heather and butterscotch notes.

The Glenallachie 25 Year Old (46% ABV) which was matured in Pedro Ximinez, Oloroso and American oak casks, is said to be the pinnacle of the range, delivering regally rich notes of sultanas, pineapples, dark chocolate, Christmas cake, marmalade and sweet spices.

Commenting on the launch, Billy Walker, said: “The first release of our GlenAllachie core range has been a culmination of months of hard work and a passion to turn GlenAllachie into a very popular and much sought after single malt whisky.  It is an honour to be its custodian and to develop this range of single malts."

He continued by saying: “The range of casks we have warehoused is tremendous with nearly 50,000 maturing at our distillery, some of which date back to the 1970’s. Our aim is to nurture this tremendous spirit and for these single malts to be admired both home and abroad.”

The GlenAllachie 10, 12, 18 and 25 Year Old’s, will be available later this month from specialist retailers, for the respective RRP’s of: £57,00, £43,00, £92,00, £232,00.
