GLENDRONACH LAUNCHES THE 7TH BATCH OF ITS CASK STRENGTH SINGLE MALT WHISKY

The GlenDronach Distillery, has today announced the launch of its 7th batch of Cask Strength Highland single malt Scotch whisky.

The GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 7 (57.9% ABV) has been matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks.

This latest release from The GlenDronach, which was produced using casks hand selected by Master Blender Rachel Barrie, is said to deliver notes of cherry brandy, chocolate, blackberry vines, wild figs and Highland toffee on the nose. Followed by notes of brambles, ripe sultanas, Seville orange and roasted chestnuts on the palate.

Commenting on the launch. Rachel Barrie, said: “The GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 7 is rich in the rewards of slow, mellow and complex sherry cask maturation in the earthen-floored dunnage warehouses at GlenDronach; the rewards being a sublime aroma, rounded taste, full body and long-lasting finish. With a cask selection spanning Summer, Autumn and Winter distillation at GlenDronach, the resulting marriage delivers a malt with a strong heart, complex taste and smooth mellow maturity.”

The GlenDronach Cask Strength Batch 7, will be available later this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP 0f £60.00.
