Distilled at the Knockdhu Distillery, Peatheart takes its name from the nearby peat bogs and its abundance of natural resources which are suited to creating a smoky Scotch whisky.

This latest release from anCnoc, which is their smokiest bottling to date, is said to celebrate the traditions of the whisky making process, as peat was historically an essential fuel in the drying of barley for the distillation of the liquid.

anCnoc Peatheart, is said to deliver notes of ripe pear, apple, lime and tobacco on the nose. Followed by notes of leather, sweet stewed apples, chocolate, sweet vanilla and lemon on the palate.

Commenting on the launch, Karen Walker, Marketing Director of anCnoc whisky, said: “When we first launched the Peaty Collection we had no idea how successful it would be. Seven awards and seven expressions later, we’re excited to announce Peatheart as our latest and ongoing release”.

anCnoc Peatheart, will be available this month from specialist retailers, for a RRP of £52.00.
