WEMYSS LAUNCH THEIR AUTUMN 2017 BATCH OF SINGLE CASK BOTTLINGS

The multi-award winning, Edinburgh based boutique spirits company Wemyss Malts, has announced the launch of their Autumn 2017 single cask bottlings.

Their latest batch of 12 single cask whiskies, which range from 11 to 36 years old in age, were chosen and given their descriptive names, illustrating each whisky’s individual character, by the Wemyss tasting panel, under the watchful eye of industry aficionado Charlie Maclean.

Herb and Lime Salsa – 26 Year Old Bunnahabhain - 46% ABV
Bittersweet Baklava – 28 Year Old Bunnahabhain - 46% ABV
The Viceroy’s Elixir – 29 Year Old Bunnahabhain - 46% ABV
Mocha on the Deck – 18 Year Old Bowmore - 59.3% ABV
Carpaccio Salsa Verde – 36 Year Old Caol Ila - 46% ABV
Stewed Fruit Relish – 14 Year Old Craigellichie - 46% ABV
A Liquorice Potion – 19 Year Old Benrinnes - 46% ABV
Forest Fresh – 21 Year Old Glen Keith - 46% ABV
Under the Lemon Tree – 22 Year Old Linkwood - 46% ABV
Apple Blossom – 25 Year Old Blair Athol - 46% ABV
Trawlerman’s Satchel – 11 Year Old Croftengea - 46% ABV
Princes Torte - 9 Year Old North British - 64.8% ABV

Commenting on the launch, William Wemyss, Founder and Managing Director at Wemyss Malts, said: “Autumn is all about treasuring the bountiful harvest of the months gone by, with this in mind our latest selection of single casks convey an assortment of fortifying and warming flavours. With this assortment of single casks from the spritely and sweet ‘Princes Torte’ North British to the incredibly decadent Bunnahabhain aptly named “The Viceroy’s Elixir” and the show stopping 36 year old Caol Ila named “Carpaccio Salsa Verde” we truly have something to please all whisky fans.”

The 2017 Autumn batch of Wemyss single cask bottlings, will be available later this month from specialist retailers. Each cask is limited to only a few hundred bottles, with RRP’s ranging from £60,00 to £390.00.
