George T. Stagg (64.6% ABV) contains bourbon from barrels filled in the spring of 2002. This batch contained 309 barrels, which were aged in warehouses C, K, M and Q at the Buffalo Trace Distillery.
William Larue Weller (64.1% ABV) was distilled in the winter of 2005, and aged in Warehouses D, I, and P at the Buffalo Trace Distillery.
Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye (63.6% ABV) was distilled in the spring of 2011, and aged on the third, fourth and fifth floors of Warehouses K, L, and Q at the Buffalo Trace Distillery.
Eagle Rare 17 Year Old (45% ABV) was aged on the first, second and third floors of Warehouses C, K and P at the Buffalo Trace Distillery.
Sazerac Rye 18 Year Old (46% ABV) was produced using barrels which were filled in the spring of 1998, and then poured into a stainless steel tank in 2016, to stop further aging and evaporation.
Commenting on this year’s Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley, said: “The team had another great year with the Antique Collection. From distillation, to barrel selection, to bottling, this year’s collection showed very well. I was particularly excited about the William Larue Weller with its extra richness, and the Eagle Rare 17 seemed more rounded and full of flavor. None of these disappointed.”
The Buffalo Trace 2016 Antique Collection bottlings, will be available next month from specialist retailers in the US, for a RRP per bottling of $90.00.
