After maturing for more than 50 years in American white oak barrels, five casks were hand selected for this limited release, which is said to deliver notes of sweet-toffee, vanilla, prunes, ice-cream cones and candied orange peel on the nose. Followed by notes of sweet vanilla, toffee, prunes, plums, spicy tobacco, oak and mocha on the palate.

Limited to just 390 individually numbered decanters, Angus Dundee 50 Year Old Blended Grain Scotch whisky, comes packaged in a specially commissioned velvet lined wooden box.

Commenting on the launch, Duncan Baldwin, Brand Development Director at Angus Dundee, said: “I never thought mature grain whisky could exhibit such depth of flavour and quality. This 50 year old blend is extraordinarily good.”

Angus Dundee 50 Year Old Blended Grain Scotch whisky, will be available later this month from Travel Retail outlets and selected domestic markets, for a RRP of £899.00.
