WEMYSS MALTS ANNOUNCES THE LAUNCH OF A TRIO OF US EXCLUSIVE SINGLE CASK BOTTLINGS

Multi-award winning, Edinburgh based boutique spirits company Wemyss Malts, has announced the launch of a trio of new single cask, single malt bottlings, exclusive to the US market.

Released in partnership with leading US wine and spirits importer Palm Bay International, the three new releases which have all been bottled at 46% ABV, have been given descriptive names illustrating each whisky’s individual character, by the Wemyss tasting panel, under the watchful eye of industry aficionado Charlie Maclean.

Wemyss Malts launches a trio of US exclusive single cask bottlings

Italian Bakery Delight, is a 19 Year Old single cask bottling from the Glenrothes Distillery in Speyside, which was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2016. Limited to just 347 bottles.

Coastal Orchard, is a 19 Year Old single cask bottling from the Clynelish Distillery in the Highlands, which was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2016. Limited to just 269 bottles.

Hike to the Haven, is a 25 Year Old single cask bottling from the Bunnahabhain Distillery on Islay, which was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2016. Limited to just 238 bottles.

Commenting on the news, William Wemyss, Founder and Managing Director of Wemyss Malts, said: “The U.S. is extremely important for us due to the rising interest in craft spirits, and we're delighted to introduce these three single cask, single malt Scotch whiskies exclusively with Palm Bay International. These limited production bottlings are extremely rare and I'm sure they will be much sought after by Scotch connoisseurs.”

All three of the new Wemyss Malts single casks, will be available in the US later this month from specialist retailers, priced between $130.00 and $200.00 per 750ml bottle.
