SMWS TEAMS UP WITH CHICAGO DISTILLERY FOR ITS LATEST SINGLE CASK BOURBON RELEASE

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) has announced the release of a three year old single cask bourbon, as part of its February outturn.

SMWS Bottling B4.1 ‘Comforting Coconut, Bountiful Banana’ (62.2% ABV) is the 16th bourbon the society has released to date and is said to showcase its reputation for bottling an ever-changing spectrum of spirits.

Distilled by Few Spirits at their distillery in Chicago, this latest bourbon bottling is said to deliver notes of dried mango, corn candies, bubble gum, vanilla pastries and bananas on the nose, followed by notes of coconut macaroons, Walnut Whips, leather and willow twigs on the palate.

Founded in 2010 Few Spirits, is a grain to glass distillery that produces a range of award winning handcrafted, small-batch whiskies and gins, made using ingredients sourced as local to the distillery as possible.

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society is an international whisky club which bottles the world’s widest selection of single cask, single malt whisky for its members. It also regularly bottles and releases other spirits such as rum, brandy and bourbon. All of which, as per their malt whiskies are all single cask bottlings.

Limited to 114 bottles SMWS Bottling B4.1 ‘Comforting Coconut, Bountiful Banana’ is now available exclusive to society members for £122.00.
