For the first time, the event will be opening its doors for two days of whisky festivities, allowing enthusiasts access to more distilleries and creating a greater experience than ever before.
Midlands Whisky Festival March 27th - 28th 2015 |
In addition to over two dozen of Scotland’s finest whisky brands including The Macallan, Glenmorangie and Jura, there will also be representatives from some of the world’s leading distilleries, who will be on hand to share expert knowledge about their drams and distilleries.
The festival will also provide a great opportunity for enthusiasts to meet the makers of their favourite whiskies, ask questions and converse over some exquisite drams.
Commenting on this year’s festival, David Gardener, Director of Nickolls & Perks and Midlands Whisky Festival, said: "We have a weekend show this year to enable a greater audience as well as the movement to double the number of exhibitors, creating a different feel to tasting whisky."
Friday’s festivities will include two, free, first-come, first-serve masterclasses from Swedish distillery Mackmyra and Joanne Brown tells us about the amazing new releases from Bruichladdich, Port Charlotte and Octomore.
Gordon & MacPhail’s UK Sales Director Stephen Rankin will also be presenting an exclusive masterclass for devotee ticket holders on the Saturday. 2015 is a celebratory year for Gordan & MacPhail as it marks their 150th anniversary, ticking off an impressive milestone for the Elgin distillery.
